Lived one life
and for that life, passed on.
Led one life
in the end, all gone.
War. Savage war.
Cruel nature of man
brings misery, brings death
As war's black bravery can.
Tearing families apart, passing lands and beyond,
killing life, breaking lovers' bond.
And for the loving person
remains no love, no bread.
Nowt but ash and fire
and fire, and the dead.
