Location

As Erothin is the most civilized realm of all the realms in Nehrim, bank services are available only in Erothin bank - Money and Greed Bank. The bank is located in Upper Quarter ( near the storage chest). In order to take advantage of the services you need to speak to the the Head Teller - Banker Rodrigues. The bank offers three basic services: opening an account, money deposit and shareholding.

8 am till 5 pm.

Bank Services

• Opening an account - a free service offered by the Teller. Money deposited earns interest. Interest is posted to your account every four days. According to the clerk, interest rate varies and depends on the economy. After opening the account, the clerk gives us the key to lockbox number 2222. Of course, you can deposit and withdraw money at will.

• Deposit Box- is available to everyone who holds an account. In your lockbox you can find not only the deposit box but your own storage chest as well.

• Shareholding - additional shareholdings to a business will increase your earnings when stored inside the safe deposit box. There are four shares possible to obtain:

1. Erothin Theater Partnership Agreement - found in 111 vault (keys)
2. Bathhouse Partnership Agreement - after the completion of The Key to Cleanliness
3. Cahbaet Brewery Partnership Agreement - after the completion of The Missing Master Brewer
4. Erothin Farm Community Partnership Agreement - found in vault 2221

Bank Account Options

Go to locker - This option will allow you to visit your locker to check your gold amount and deposit any partnership agreements in your safe box (labeled as my account) that you may have obtained. As a convenience, your locker also includes a safe chest. It also allows you full access to all unlocked areas of the bank.

Deposit - This option allows you deposit different amounts of gold on your person.

Withdraw - This option allows you to withdraw partial amounts of gold from your locker.

The amount of gold you can deposit or withdraw is dependent on how much gold you possess, either on you or in your locker and thus the options will only show up when you acquired that much wealth. They are as follows:

• 100 gold pieces
• 1000 gold pieces
• 25 gold pieces
• 250 gold pieces
• 50 gold pieces
• 500 gold pieces
• 10000 gold pieces
• 5000 gold pieces

Interest

Interest is handled by the ErothinBankPlayerKontoScript. Each agreement accrues different amounts of interest over time. The interest rate formula for placing these documents in the safe deposit box is ( x * ( GameDaysPassed - Days), where X is the value from the agreement:

The global interest rate also depends on which Main Quests are completed. It works like this:

Lockbox Contents

Lockbox keys - while exploring the bank you will come across different lockers that open using lockbox keys. Use them on the appropriate vaults. The table below details the contents and the locations of the keys:

Containers

There are a total of 49 containers: 3 respawning containers inside the lockers and 46 safe containers (including my account and the safe chest). Aside from these two, all chests are marked as stealing.

Steam Version

The steam version adds an additional 90 loose gold, 8 moneybags, and a respawning chest in the locked room where the three digit lockers are located. The non-steam version had nothing of interest in this room despite it being locked with a hard lock.

Numbers are added to the wall next the arch of each locker section designating the locker numbers located there. The 2000s section has a 2 and the 1000s section has a 1. The upstairs section has no number.

The stairs from the main room are higher than non-steam version. They reach about the same level as the walled gates and then descend towards the office room.

Notes

• The wooden door can opened via the Erothin Bank key that can be pickpocketed from Banker Rodrigues.
• The wooden door will not open and will immediately relock if accessed after hours when the bank has already closed.
• A secret entrance from Nehrim:Tax Collector Kathje's House will allow you to explore the bank after hours. Be prepared to open multiple very hard locks, however.
• The Nehrim:Erothin City Guard will not be present during The Chancellor's Fate, making this the most ideal time to steal any valuables from the bank.
• The gold amount you can deposit or withdraw is capped at 10,000 gold.
• In Nehrim Expanded you can also buy Nehrim:textbooks from Rodrigues.
• All Bank Tellers aside from Rodrigues cannot be interacted with in any way. Be careful when stealing because you cannot yield to them.
• The havok engine has a habit of having objects bounce to great effect so some gold may be present on the floor depending on how the game loads the cell.
• The moneybag gold total was tested in several new games using both the steam version and the non steam version. The steam version will always have more due to the added content.
• All lockers have bigger rooms behind the room to create the illusion of hatch space. This is easily seen by using tfc in the console.
• Achievement - opening 7 bank vaults earns you the Bank Robber achievement.
• Remember to store your partnership agreements in your bank locker (NOT safe storage chest), otherwise, you will get no income.

Bugs

• Lockbox 111 (steam version) lacks the script to open the door to activate it. The player must use the console to obtain the item inside.
• One moneybag is placed too far on the bookshelf that it clips out on the other side and cannot be accessed.
• Another moneybag on the bookshelf is placed in a such a way that you cannot activate them from the front.
