Description

File:Line625.jpg

Despite how tall the tower is from the outside, the tower only goes up one floor from the entrance but goes down a long way. The fortress becomes accessible during the main quest The Chains of the Deep. The first cell consists of a guard's tower with two levels, mostly containing beds and overturned furniture on the top level while the bottom level has containers and a bonfire in the center. Two doors on the bottom level are present, requiring a key to unlock that have no key; however, the rooms are empty. After the quest, the door to the prison will be sealed by the earth. This location can be used as a free House, as it never used beyond the quest.

The prison portion is only accessible during the Main Quest. The first portion seemingly leads to a dead end until a loose brick is pushed which reveals a secret passageway. Inside the passageway a transports leads down, deep into the prison. Beyond the bulkhead doors lies a chasm you must cross. At the end of this section guarding the entrance to the next portion are the three Arcane Guards along with their Seraphim Mage, respectively.

The second prison portion starts off with tunnels that will eventually lead you to a locked gate (hard). Heading into the opposite direction will lead you into the guard's quarters, where the key is kept. Upon entering the gate, more tunnels head downward until you reach an open room with a bunch of corpses and a Sea Creature. Beyond this room are two old wooden doors, which leads to a dead end where a gate switch is kept. Turning this opens up a cave passage. Inside the cave, the statue holds another switch to the final door of Narathzul Arantheal's prison.

Tips/Notes

  • The Large Gorgers can be avoided if the player heads directly for the tower.
  • 6 of the stone beds aren't labeled anything, so they have no name when approaching them. However, the sleep icon still appears for them. Similarly, the throne (Narathzul's chair) has no name either.
